Artist Statement
Growing up in the Bay Area I found refuge in video games and digital media. Because of this, through photography and video I work to highlight diverse voices and lived experiences, centering underrepresented communities whose narratives are often overlooked. I approach each project with dedication, care, and a belief that storytelling fosters deeper understanding and collective connection.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to community and to amplifying the stories that connect us. My work is particularly informed by the intersections of culture, identity, and place, and by how these forces shape our sense of self and belonging. In portrait based projects like the series on Georgina Rios, I aim to reveal the intimacy of everyday moments while situating them within broader cultural contexts.
